ID-1
Information on setting up the ID-1 and links to sample programming/configuration files should go here.
General ID-1 Information
Your ID-1 comes with all hardware necessary to use the system as well as Windows software to edit memories, and change options on the radio from the computer. The Icom ID-1 software is the simplest, easiest way to make changes to the radio, memories and callsign fields. It's very clumsy to operate the radio from the front panel, but with enough practice, anything is easy.
Since the ID-1 operates both digital voice and low speed data, in DV mode as well as high speed data (+/- 128kbps) in DV mode, it's a very useful tool. It does require a bit of learning curve to handle data transmission in DV mode. Please see "Configuring ID-1 for High Speed Data" for assistance with it.
Repeater Output 1283.9625MHz
Repeater Input 1271.9625MHz
Callsign: WØCDS^^C
* Note: In all repeater callsigns the SPACE or BLANK character is represented by "^" to make it possible to read the number of spaces necessary. Use a SPACE in your radio in place of "^".
General System Information:
D-STAR 1283.9625MHz voice is an error corrected mode. If you are using the 1283.9625 radio for voice, you will find the usable service area of the repeater to be quite good. Although a bit smaller than the VHF and UHF modules, it's quite acceptable. The digital data is NOT error corrected so the actual usable service area is much smaller. General voice coverage of the system is Denver metro area with an omni, mobile.
